Merle Jack Millin, 15 years old of Brocton, New York passed away on June 29, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Westfield, New York on August 22, 2001 and has lived in Brocton his whole life. Merle enjoyed basketball, football, soccer, baseball, video games, biking, hiking camping and spending time with his family and friends. Merle attended Brocton Central School where he excelled in sports and maintained good grades. He had just completed the 9th grade. Merle was very sociable, was very well liked and had many friends.. Merle was able to save Eight Lives through CORE (Center for Organ Recovery and Education.)
He is survived by his parents Cathryn (Mike Dotson) Millin and Thomas Millin, one sister Ronnie M Sinclair, two brothers Alex Millin and Tommy Millin; his maternal grandparents Ronald and Marjorie Test; his Aunts Sandra (Darren) Buck, Laura (Michael) Shelters, Karen Rater, Candy (Wes) Rue, Tammy (Jamal Papa) Millin, Michelle (Scott) Droddy and Kimmy (Ronnie) Nendindhall; one uncle Ronald (Teresa) Test and cousins Sara, Ryan, Tiffany, Rachel, Morgan, Christina, Courtney, Alexis, Cassidy and Gavin. Merle was predeceased by his paternal Grandparents James Millin and Ella Mallory.
Funeral services will be held on Friday July 7, 2017 at 10 am from the West Portland Baptist Church, 7081 East, Rt 20, Westfield, New York 14787, The Rev. Charles Robertson will officiate. Interment will follow at the Webster St. Cemetery, Webster Rd., Fredonia New York. Friends are invited to call at the Morse Funeral Home, 51 Highland Ave, Brocton, New York on Thursday July 6, 2017 from 4 to 7 pm.
