Albert Ernest Colt, 76 years old, of Brocton, New York passed away on Friday evening December 22, 2017 at St. Mary's Rehabilitation Center in Erie, Pa after an extended illness. He was born in Silver Creek, New York on January 16, 1941 and was the son of the late Floyd and Mary Woodard Colt. He had lived in and around this area his entire life. He had attended Brocton Central School and worked as a Fork Lift Operator for Dunkirk Radiator of Dunkirk, New York. He was a former member of the Fire Police of the Portland Fire Dept. Al also loved Bingo and Karoke.
He is survived by two daughters Valeria (Barbara) Colt of Fort Meade Maryland and Beth (Brenda) Deck of Monroe, North Carolina and one son Roy (Lisa) Colt of Westfield, New York, three grandchildren Jennifer (Nate) Betts, Emily (Matt Wolf) Colt, Melissa (Jim) VanCise, three great-granddaughters Annissa Morris, Kayleigh and Taylor VanCise, four great grandsons Carson Wolf, Willem Betts, Ryker Bloomer and Nate Betts. one brother Norman Colt of Harborcreek Pa., and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Violet Colt who passed away on June 14 2016. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday December 27, 2017 at 11 am from the Morse Funeral Home in Brocton, New York, Deaconess Sargent First Class Barbara Colt will officiate. Interment will follow at the Portland Evergreen Cemetery. Friends are invited to call at the Morse Funeral Home 51 Highland Ave. in Brocton from 2-4 and 7-9 on Tuesday December 26, 2017.
