Melinda J Haynes D'Amico, 48 years old of Chesapeake, Virginia, formerly of Brocton, New York passed away Thursday morning August 4, 2016 after an extended illness. Melinda was born in Westfield, New York on November 20, 1967 and was the daughter of the late Richard Haynes and Judy Haynes of Brocton, New York. She had lived in the Brocton area all of her life before moving to Chesapeake, Virginia two years ago to live with her daughter Katherine Dulmus. She was a 1985 graduate of Brocton Central Schooland was a former Real Estate Agent for Coldwell-Banker of Fredonia, New York. She also enjoyed her hobbies of quilting, knitting, crocheting and Microsoft MVP. Mindy also enjoyed her grandchildren immensely and all her many Facebook friends from all over the world.
Besides her mother Judy Haynes of Brocton, New York, Melinda is survived by her husband Bruce D'Amico of Brocton, New York , three daughters Katherine (Christopher) Dulmus of Chesapeake, Virginia, Hannah D'Amico and Kimberly D'Amico of Brocton, New York, one son Thomas (Elizabeth) Haynes of Westfield, New York, three grandchildren Rhea, Rylan and Rielletwo sisters Elizabeth (Rick) Santiago of Dunkirk, New York and Suzanne (Paul) Frazer of Naples, New York and many aunts and uncles and cousins and several nieces and nephews..
She was predeceased by her father Richard Haynes who passed away in 2009.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August11, 2016 at 6 pm from the Morse Funeral Home 51 Highland Ave. in Brocton, New York. The Rev. Sandi Ball of the Fellowship Church of Brocton will officiate. Mindy's family will receive friends between 5 and 6 pm prior to the beginning of the funeral service. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. The family would graciously accept any donations in Mindy's name to help defray the cost of the funeral expenses.
