Rose Diane Bomasuto, 93 years old of Rochester, New York and formerly of Brocton, New York passed away early Friday morning, July 1, 2016 at Wegman Family Cottages in Rochester, New York. She was born on January 7, 1923 in Pomfret, New York and was the daughter of the late Charles Maiorana and Angeline Saletta. She lived in this area most of her life, moving to Florida in her later years with her husband Frank then moving back to this area and spending her final years with her family in Rochester, New York. Rose was employed for many years at the former Niagara Therapy Plant in Brocton, New York. She was also a member of St. Dominic's Roman Catholic Church of Brocton, formerly St. Patrick's of Brocton, and Rose was a life member of the Brocton American Legion John W Dill Post 434 Axillary of Brocton. Rose immensely enjoyed having her home open to the community especially at Christmastime and baking delicious cookies for the people of the community.
Rose is survived by four daughters Mrs. Darlene (Gerald) Markham of Gates, New York, Kathleen (Joseph Boltz) Mc Intee of Webster, New York, Mrs. Marlene (Todd) Orr of Fredonia, New York and Mrs. Jacqueline (Robert) Gregory, of Kendall, New York, four grandchildren Alison, Victoria, Robert and Jamie, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. one sister Mrs. Mary Bonner of Erie Pennsylvania.
Rose was predeceased by her loving husband Frank whom she married on July 27, 1946 and who passed away September 7, 2002, two brothers Carl and Alfred Maiorana, three sisters Sadie Pirello, Carolyn Valentine and Alfreda Bowles.
Funeral Services will be held Friday July 8, 2016 at 10 am from St. Dominic's Roman Catholic Church in Brocton, New York where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by the Rev. Joseph Walter. Interment will follow at the Portland Evergreen Cemetery in Portland, New York. Friends are invited to call at the Morse Funeral Home, 51 Highland Ave. in Brocton, New York from 4 to 7 pm on Thursday July 7, 2016. A luncheon for friends and family will take place following the Interment at the Moose Club Lodge #89 , 296 lake Shore Dr. West of Dunkirk, New York.
