Thomas A Hafner, 80 years of Brocton, New York, passed away late Sunday evening October 9, 2016 at Hamot Hospital in Erie, Pa after a brief illness. He was born in North Collins, New York on August 17, 1936 and was the son of the late William and Elsie M Fuller Hafner. Thomas was formerly of Jamestown New York and had lived lived in Brocton for the past 38 years. He was a former member of the United States National Guard and was a Salesman for the Coca Cola Co. and also a retired Real Estate Agent. He enjoyed his grandchildren, loved to fish and tell stories, travel and do gardening. He was also a great lover of music, and greatly enjoyed talking to people.
He is survived by his wife Rose (Panek) Hafner of Brocton, New York and whom he married in 1957.; two daughters Cindy (Hobart Jr.) D'Amico of Brocton, New York and Susan (Michael) Suppo of Fredonia, New York; three grandchildren Jennifer (Joe) Dawson, Penny (Britt) Bridges and Vanessa (Javier Valle) Stevens; and three great grandchildren Sydne Daniels, Alex Daniels and Nataleya Valle, one sister Lulu (Hafner) Kohler of Forestville, New York.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by four sisters, Helen Skelly, Dolly Fuller, Louise Mattice and Loraine Kelly and three brothers, Elmer,Roger and William Hafner.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 14, 2016 at 11 am from the Morse Funeral Home 51 Highland Ave. in Brocton, New York. The Rev. Larry Morrison and Hobart D'Amico will officiate. Interment will follow at the Portland Evergreen Cemetery. The family will welcome friends and relatives for visitation at the Morse Funeral Home on Thursday October 13, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9.
